My Llazy Llama Llorenzo

It has been a busy summer already! Most of you have met our pet Llorenzo the Llama and many people come back each summer to see him! I was worried about him over this last winter when he got really sick. Ron and I had to lift him to his feet each day several times and feed him by hand and syringe his sugar water into him daily. Boy, did he take a liking to his sweetened water!!! We had the vet out a couple of times. I tell ya I was NOT going to lose this llama that has become an integral part of our family!!! It took a long time but he was finally able to get back onto his feet and now you would never know he had been so sick!
He and his girlfriend Annabelle gave birth to a new little boy Llinus (who is about 4 weeks old now). He is the softest, cutest little guy ever!!
I also added two more sweet girls to our farm. Yolanda is the mom and she came with her 7 month old baby Llucinda. It has been a "hay" day here!! There is nothing like a llama. If you are stressed just go hang with the llama's. Their antics, their gentleness, their beauty will steal your breath away!! They are big, beautiful, floppy animals that God created for my enjoyment and I am blessed by them daily!!! Blessings to all of you!!!

A bit of this and A bit of that

My husband is self-employed; he does a bit of Everything and he is great at it all!! Right now he is going between the Sawmill and trying to get the Haying done. Its hard to do when we get rain one day, sun the next, etc...He was my Inspiration for starting my own business 3 years ago. I would love to continue it into the Winter but not sure how to. Its hard when you live in a small town. I am just now ((slowly)) getting locals to even come out and check my shop out. I am a huge believer in supporting your local businesses. If you don't support us I do not want to hear any complaining from you when businesses shut down!! If you want our town to flourish and appear beautiful to others then support it! Well, now that I have THAT off my chest.....I can't remember what I was chatting about to start with. Oh yeah, my inspiration Ron. iN THE Winter He snowplows and in the Spring makes our yummy Maple Syrup (which I sell in my shop by the way AND this year we are adding homemade maple stirred sugar, maple pops, maple candy)))

Hi Mere, Love your blog. I've bookmarked your site so I can check in daily. Blessings back at ya. :o) Becki))!!! And for you men out there I have John Deere things!!!! Talk later folks! Blessings

I find this casserole tastes even better the second day too!!!!! Don't they all though!!
This afternoon the kids and I spent time in the vegetable garden WEEDING, yes those pesky weeds!!! Its the same thing in life, we need to weed out the crap in our lives so we can bloom into beautiful individuals!! Thats my deep thought for you today!
Anyways, it sure looks alot nicer now and hopefully the weather co-operates and we can move onto the flower beds. I have told the kids that the house, their rooms, the garden, the yard need to be in tip top condition before the summer fun can begin. Their friends were all over this past weekend (to celebrate the end of school) but until the work is done we won't be having any more little visitors. So for the most part I received alot of co-operation today!! Tonite we are celebrating with BBQ'd burgers and a family movie!! Prim Blessings Everyone

A Farmer Wifes Perspective

A fArmEr WiFes PersPecTive
I have been a Farmers Wife for 12 years now and it is the most unbelievable honor out there!!! As a little girl I grew up with a pet bunny.......WELL.....that has changed considerably!!! My husband raises Limo cross Beef Cattle BUT when he married ME I had other ideas for us!!! I have said from the start of our marriage that a Farm is NOT a FARm without farm animals...SSSSSSS!! We started off with a Beagle Puppy named Moses, then we added a couple of kittens, then I discovered Pygmy Goats. They were adorable,,,small, cute and fun little devils!! Anyone who is thinking about buying a goat just remember it does not matter how well built your fence is they will outsmart you. Their goat motto is "Where there is a Will there IS a Way!!" However I wouldn't have it any other way. Every Spring there is new little baby born here or we get an extra special surprise like we did this year....TWINS. This year we had Dottie and Dash born from mom Tinker Bell and dad Mikey. Well, I don't want to give everything away on my first day blogging so until next time, Blessings to you and yours!!! Meredith
